If You Forget Me...

I want you to know one thing.
You know how this is: if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.
If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

Fact VS Opinion

Fact versus Opinions
Many times we create confusion when we add our own opinions to facts and come up with wrong conclusions.
For example:
FACT: Two people are whispering when you walk up. Suddenly they stop talking.
OPINION: They must be gossiping about me.
FACT: A new lady is appointed in my department.
OPINION: They will ask me to leave!
FACT: He has reported about me to authorities.
OPINION: They will blacklist me. I am now ruined & finished!
Many a times we tend to behave negatively due to our own adverse opinions. We feel people per se are hostile & unfriendly. We become anxious & fearful for no good reason in a situation which is relatively safe.
It is said: “Men are disturbed not by things that happen, but by their opinions of the things that happen.”

Santa More...

Santa : Why did the man put his radio in his refrigerator?
Bunta : I give up.
Santa : Stupid, because he wanted to hear cool music----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jasmeet : "Your honor, I want to divorce my husband Santa."
Judge : "But why ?"
Jasmeet : "Because he is not faithful to me."
Judge : "How do you know ?"
Jasmeet : "My lord, not a single child resembles him."

Living the Ideal Life - Editorial

There is a popular argument against being idealistic
or trying to follow the righteous path.

Its said that idealism looks and sounds good on paper
or in books or in theory ...

and that real life is much more complex ...
Frankly that sounds like an excuse
for not wanting to put in the hard work required
to live a high quality of Life ....

But much more worse than an excuse is when you seek
to justify that excuse as a universally acceptable optionif not the truth ...
That points to a dog in the manger kind of attitude ..

Just because you can't do something
or are not willing to work hard for it ...

you want to make it seem as if the objct to be achieved
is not worth the effort at all ...
Angoor khatte hain

Just because you are not willing to make the effort,
you don't want anyone else to do it either ..

That according to me is worse than being lazy on the outside ..

External laziness can be overcome by an active mind ...

But then that would be an oxymoron ..

Since the external Life is an indication or a reflection
of the rot that has set in within.....

or the freshness that is raring to spread its wings ...
Idealism sounds good in theory and books
because that is where we are comfortable with them ..

What we forget and get confused about is that Ideals are signposts to show us the way to a better Life ...
much like stars ...
used to get our bearings right

Like the milestones on a highway won't take you
to your destination but just point the direction
and the distance remaining ...

But you are the one who has to walk ..

You are the one who must want to get to the destination
And you are the one who must want it bad enough
to put in the hard work ...

Nobody else can do it for you ....

A simple analogy is that of enjoying good food
You want to taste the sweetness and delectabilty of a good dish ..
Well, Surprise ..!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!

You'll have to eat it yourself ..

You won't be able to enjoy the taste of good food
If I eat it ... can you now??

You want idealism or principles to work in your Life ...
Well,

You are the one who'll have to decide that you want them
and that you want them bad enough to take em out of the books and take a stand for them where it matters in real Life..

other wise be satisfied with what Life doles out to you ...

Like Shahrukh Khan says ..

"Santusth kyun ho bhai
Kuch wish karo ....
Kuch .. blah blah .blah .. "

Nobody's paying me to promote a TV antenna
Yaar, so why should I take the name of the product
Think over what has been said ...

The next post after this, also penned by yours truly reflects
something similar ...
only its in the form of a story ...
Lets see whether you get the drift.
